Let us take a moment to celebrate the 102 wonderful years Caroline lived. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Pijelskie) Sabesberger of Krakow, Poland. Caroline is survived by a great niece, who was more like a granddaughter, Annezita Feldman (Rob Rideout) and also her niece, Rose and her husband, Butch Feldman. Caroline was fortunate enough to see a century of this world turn and change, she survived through the Spanish Flu, SARS, and now COVID-19, she was no stranger to a quarantine or pandemic. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay. Caroline loved animals, sweets (especially suckers), socializing and playing games. She worked in retail her entire life and was known for her sarcasm, sense of humor and quick wit. Besides her parents, Caroline was predeceased by brothers, Tony and Frank. We express the upmost gratitude to The Glace Bay Adult Day Program (special friend Robyn Abbass) who enhanced her golden years with many valued friends and fun memories.
