God be with you all at this very difficult time. I will cherish the many times we shared laughter and good times whether it was at BINGO at the Strand or in her home in May of this year. She was a wonderful Aunt and her accent will always be part of my remembrance of her. She will have so much to share with family members awaiting her call to her eternal home.

So sorry to hear about your mother. After all these years she will be reunited with your Dad. Wonderful people and the ninth street medics. I couldn't tell you the number of times as kids that they put a bandaid or two on me. May god rest their souls. Sincerely Bernie.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was one of my favorite war brides. I loved their Christmas parties. I would always sit beside her. Once my mother passed two years ago, I am afraid I lost touch. I have wonderful memories of her stories and of her wit. May you be blessed with the memories of a life well lived. Sincerely, Eileen Morford-Martin

So sorry to hear about Aunt Rene. I was so disappointed to be away when she passed as I would love to have been able to be there. She and "Brother" were always so good to me and I remember fondly visiting with them when Mom took us to their house when we were growing up. We were lucky to have her for as long as we did. Our thoughts are with you guys at this trying time. Laurie , I can't tell you how many people have commented to me over these past few years how much support you were to your Mom and all of her "war bride" friends.
